Dear Fig Members,

Happy Tuesday! As always, I want to share what we’ve been working on to improve Fig for you and your family.

Our Head of Product, Duncan, has had more than 25 conversations with Fig Members to learn how we can best serve you. And we’ve already started implementing some of your suggestions. Thank you to everyone who’s given us ideas!

What’s New at Fig? ✨

Here’s a recap of what we’ve done over the past month:

Added New Restaurants: Subway, Arby’s, Dairy Queen and KFC are now on Fig 😋 We’re planning to add a few more chain restaurants, and then we’ll set our sights on non-chain restaurants in 2024.

Improved Search Speed: Searches for groceries and restaurant menu items should be much quicker now. Next up, we’ll work on search accuracy (trust me, it drives us crazy when chicken comes up when you search for bread 😭)

Partnered with Nourish: Dietitians can be a cheat code in your dietary journey, but it used to be that insurance would never cover your visits. But through a dietitan service called Nourish, 94% of patients pay $0 out-of-pocket. A few Fig team already met with Nourish dietitians (and had great experiences), so we’ve decided to partner with them. You can use their dietitian matching quiz to find the right dietitian for you and jumpstart your healing journey.


What’s Coming Soon 👀

We’re still finalizing our 6-12 month roadmap based on what you’ve told Duncan, but here’s what coming in the next 1-2 months:

Improved Scanner Speed (75% Complete): We know how frustrating it is trying to scan barcodes on shiny and wrinkled products. We have the perfect fix coming very soon 🤩 Believe me when I say scans are INSTANT.


✨New Feature – Ingredient Alerts✨ (60% Complete): We’re putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated “Ingredient Alerts” feature. This feature will notify you when we detect changes to ingredients or allergens in your favorite products, ensuring your safety and peace of mind. You can sign up to test this feature once it’s ready.


Adding 15,000 products (50% Complete): Nothing’s worse than scanning a product only to find it’s not in Fig’s database. So, we’re adding thousands of products to improve this. Also by the end of the year, when you submit a missing product to Fig, we’ll have it added for you in less than 48 hours!


Making Food Discovery More Fun (15% Complete): When you click the “Grocery” tab on Fig, we want you to be excited by what you find. Stay tuned for what’s coming 😊
