Thanks so much for wanting to share Fig with your family and friends! There are two questions we’re commonly asked:
1.) Can I share my paid Fig+ subscription with friends and family?
2.) Can I share the Fig profiles I’ve created with friends and family so they can find food for me?
We’ll cover both questions in this support guide!
1.) Can I share my paid Fig+ subscription with friends and family?
If you’re on an iPhone:
Apple makes it easy to share a paid Fig+ subscription across multiple devices. Follow the steps below:
a.) Make sure you have an active Fig+ subscription.
b.) If you haven’t done so, enable family sharing and invite relevant members to your family group.
c.) Go to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Fig, then toggle on the Sharing with Family option.
d.) Once toggled on, it takes about 1 hour for the app to be shared.
e.) Once ready, have your family members head to App Store > User Icon (top of screen) > Purchased > My Purchases, then select the family organizers name and Fig.
Sometimes, Apple family sharing has bugs. If you have any issues getting it to work, we suggest contacting Apple directly since they manage the iPhone family sharing program.
If you’re on an Android:
Unfortunately, there is no way to share a Fig+ subscription on Android devices.
If you’d like, you can share your login credentials with friends and family, so they can log into your Fig account and access your Fig+ benefits on their own phones. However, Fig+ can only be active on one device at a time. To get Fig+ to work on a new device, it’s necessary to push the “Restore purchase” button detailed on this page.
2.) Can I share the Fig profiles I’ve created with others so they can find food for me?
Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to share your Fig profiles with friends and family yet.
All the Fig profiles you create on your phone are actually linked to your Fig username and password. If you’d like someone else to be able to scan and search for products using the Fig profiles you’ve created, you’ll need to share your Fig login credentials with them. Then, they can log-in to their phone using your information, and they’ll see everything that you see on your own app.
Please note: This method does not work with Apple login. Users can only log into other devices using accounts created directly with Fig or via Google/Facebook login.
If you originally created your account with Apple login and want to share your login credentials with friends/family, you’ll unfortunately need to delete your Fig account and create a new one using Fig, Google or Facebook login.
